30 days, 35 posts, will I be able to reach my mark? It sure is a race against time. Right now it seems a Herculean task, but I am surely going to give it my best shot.
Last year when I started my blog, I promised myself that I would do atleast 100 posts before the year was up but sadly could not. Then I thought, I would do 100 posts by the time my blog hits the 10,000 visitor counter - alas that too has passed!! Now my goal is to attempt (atleast try to) 100 posts by my blogs first anniversary. So, in short I have 30 days to write 35 posts. Wish me luck, as I sure do need all I can get.
My blog celebrates its first Anniversary in 30 days. Looking back - It all began, when after getting tired of the arduous task of writing down and narrating recipes for friends, I thought why not compile all my favorite and tried out recipes in a blog so that they could be easily accessible to all my friends and in turn save me the time and energy. Then came the challenge of setting up the blog, as considering myself to be technically challenged, I had absolutely no clue how to go about it. Hubby had little time after his office and kids being busy with school and studies, I felt guilty asking them for assistance. Thankfully to my rescue came the Technology Revolution where the internet has shrunk our world and made everything so easily accessible. After a few trials and errors I finally managed to set up my blog and was I proud of myself.
What a journey it has been!! A real roller coaster ride with its share of ups and down. It has been like watching your baby grow in front of your eyes, molding it with your own hands - painful and tiring at times but nevertheless something imparting immense pleasure and deep satisfaction. This blog mirrors what I want from life and through it I have finally being able to realize what gives me happiness. I love going back and reading my posts as I feel that they all are an integral part of me and each has a different story to narrate about my life.
I still remember, how excited I was when I had my first 100th visitor on the blog. I actually watched and waited for the counter to go up from 99 to100. The story is the same even now.
I wish to thank each one of you for visiting my blog, trying out my recipes, and leaving your valuable comments and suggestions. They mean a lot to me and have been my constant source of support and encouragement. Without you all, I really would not have been able to carry through this far. I am so glad I decided to step out and embrace this wonderful community who are as passionate about cooking as I am.
This is just the beginning. I still have miles and miles to go and a tremendous amount to learn and I am eagerly looking forward to it. On that note, I bid adieu to embark on my wonderful journey of learning and sharing and with a hope of meeting many more new friends.
But you guys hang on - there is lots more to come !!
